This is an unpublished poem that my father sent me, and i present the poem in the original Spanish followed by my translation.
El Poder Del Recuerdo
Ya no habito en la noche
de tu cuerpo
que se escapa en abrazos
de silencio
Pero aqui,
en el centro de mi centro
te poseo constante,
al conjuro esmeralda
del recuerdo

Como autor del poema original en espanol, me siento muy satisfecho por la excelente version inglesa del poema. Creo que Javier ha logrado apresar la esencia lirica del mismo y transferirla al otro idioma, sin que el poema haya perdido nada de su esencia. Es un genuino poema, por si mismo. Felicidades al traductor por su evidente sensibilidad poetica y por el bello dibujo que le inspiro este poema.

I agree with the author’s comment…..the poem in Spanish is beautiful and it stands on its own in the English version…..the drawing is vibrant……
