Safe As Milk Performed At Al’s Bar And Dedicated To Matilda Hernandez-Miyares
For Matilda Hernandez-Miyares’s 18th birthday coming up on June 9th, we present this performance of Safe As Milk recorded lo-tech at Al’s Bar in Los Angeles 1989. Mati had just been born and we dedicated this song to her. When the camera pans to the t.v. screen, which was part of our lo-tech multi-media presentation, you can catch a glimpse of the infant mati suckling her mother’s breast.

Wow , the buildup to Mati’s birthday is just a tad bit less then the buildup to the 1999->2000 crossing or at least on this blog. Well the big day is tomorrow. I have the bottle rockets and sparklers ready.
Keep posting these good oldies but goodies. Seem like only yesterday. Of course, always nice to see Grooving Al on the base. Looking forward to his new bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn circa 2008.
